Player Gear Needed for the Spring Season

Helmet

• One solid-color matte royal blue helmet

• Helmet decals are provided by Grant Baseball upon request

• Our recommended helmet is the EvoShield XVT 2.0. It may not always be available at Dick’s, but it can be purchased directly through the EvoShield website.

Uniform Accessories

• Royal blue belt

• Royal blue baseball socks

• Royal blue sleeves and/or athletic long-sleeve undershirt

• Any additional protective gear, such as elbow guards, should be royal blue whenever possible

Cleats & Shoes

• Players should have molded cleats for use on turf

• Players may use metal cleats on natural grass fields, but metal cleats cannot be worn on turf, including our home field at Grant

• We also recommend that players have a pair of flat turf shoes or athletic trainers for hitting and workouts inside the gym

• Cleats and turf shoes should be royal blue, white, black, or a combination of those colors

Batting Gloves

• Royal blue, white, black, or a combination of those colors

Practice Pants

• Players should have grey practice pants

Gear Bags

• In the past, we have had custom Grant Baseball duffel bags made for players. We are going to discontinue that approach and move toward branded backpacks for players in an effort to create more space in our small dugouts. I will send more information about the backpacks and how to order them as we get closer to spring.

Bats

• For the 2026 season players are required to use BBCOR Certified, -3 drop weight (length-to-weight ratio). 

Again, please do not feel like you need to purchase anything now. The most important thing right now is for players to focus on their school year, training, and preparing themselves for the season. Once teams are selected, we will provide any additional information you need before making purchases.
